Missions Vision

 

At the Corners Church, we believe Missions is a way of life. Not a place you go for a week, or something you do; it’s how you live. If you follow Jesus Christ, it will lead to serving those around you, and sharing the overwhelming love and salvation you received through His grace. There are two passages in the scriptures where Jesus makes the life we are called to live very clear.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” -Acts 1:8

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, His spirit now dwells within you and compels you to share the “good news” wherever you are. Home, or Jerusalem, is where we believe it begins because it’s where you live. But it will also lead you to spread the “good news” to the regions around you, Judea and Samaria; and then to the ends of the earth.

“Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 'For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.'” -Matthew 25:34-36

 These verses contain the things we will find ourselves doing if we truly are following Jesus Christ and allowing Him to work in us. Our Matthew 25 Missions Initiative is what drives the programs and finances at the Church. The Corners Church is a part of bringing clean water to the people of Rwanda, Africa where 80% of deaths happen due to the unclean water. We also have Kairos Prison ministry that is bringing transformation and salvation to inmates. And among many others, we partner with the Samaritan Inn to help clothe, feed, give shelter, and provide life classes to the homeless.

We believe that if we do these things, through the power of Jesus Christ, we will see the world around us transformed, restored, and look a little more like Heaven. Come and join us at The Corners Church and be a part of seeing Heaven come to Earth.
