McKinney Neighborhood Outreach

Vision:  To provide long term solutions to families in need that increase economic self-sufficiency and spiritual maturity. 

Mission:  We will provide educational, financial and spiritual resources in partnership with other faith based groups that empower families in need to grow in their relationship with Christ, develop skills to better their economic circumstances and acquire the interpersonal skills needed to thrive in society.

Volunteer opportunities:  Prayer Team, Life Skills Instructor, computer Instructor, bible Study Teacher, Mentor, Provide Meals, Public Relations, Internship Development, Professional Services, and more…

The Samaritan Inn

(The only homeless shelter in Collin County)

Mission:  We are a comprehensive homeless program that helps willing people gain dignity and independence.  Over 70% of the residents graduated from our program; which means they had an income and housing when they left The Samaritan Inn last year.

Volunteer Opportunities:  The Dinner Club, Administrative Staff Support, Childcare Worker, Computer Mentor, Maintenance Assistance, Special Events Programs, Donation Programs, Friends of the Inn Thrift Center, and Children’s Programs.
